Our Bible Covers

What of and How our Bible Covers are made

All of our Bible Covers are CUSTOM MADE to your specifications. They are Hand-crafted and Hand-tooled from scratch. We use the finest quality cowhide money can buy. "Hermann Oak" top quality leathers are known for their long life and superior performance. Recognized for over 100 years for it's excellent tooling and carving qualities. These key features, combined with a vibrant color, solid feel, and level dyeing and oil qualities, produce a leather of outstanding versatility and rare beauty.

Our covers are lined with morocco grain cowhide splits in black or brown, its your choice. And assembled with Kangaroo Lace because of it's fine appearance and superior tensile strength.

We use Bick 4 as a top finish. This replaces the oils lost in the tooling and carving process, thus nourishing the leather and adds a water-resistant, gloss protective finish to your cover. We recommend that you then follow a program of continued care of your Bible Cover by applying Bick 4 Leather Conditioner every two to three months and cleaning it with Bick 1 Leather Cleaner when and if needed.

Bickmore Leather Care products are available on this site in the Leather Care portion of the catalog. If ordered at the time of ordering a custom made bible cover they will be shipped postage paid.
